A time to be thankful at Cosmetic Surgery Affiliates!

It’s amazing that this year is already approaching an end.  While many have commented on how this year may have not been their favorite, this is the season to be grateful for what we do have.  I personally feel so lucky and so blessed to have the job that I do!  I get to help transform people’s lives everyday- one body at a time!  On top of that, I have been able to work.  Although we did shut down as directed by our government for a few short weeks, many areas of the world have not been able to practice elective surgery for a much longer period of time. Too be able to serve my community around me is such a blessing!  I am also thankful for my personal health.  In this unprecedented time, with so many people who have been ill or have a loved one who has been sick, I am so grateful that I remain healthy and so far, my pregnancy has been uncomplicated and on track to have a healthy baby in January.

I am thankful for my amazing team at Cosmetic Surgery Affiliates.  With the team of people that I work with, I would never be able to make the difference in my patients’ lives.  From my administrative team who schedule appointments and check in patients, to my patient care coordinators prepare for surgeries, to my surgical team who know what instrument I need before I even ask for it.  Their efficiency not only helps my day run smoothly, but allows our team at CSA to perform extensive surgeries like mommy makeovers or body lifts in 2-3 hours in an outpatient surgery center, ultimately leading to shorter and better recoveries for our patients.  And of course, I am thankful for my follow up team.  They are here to hold hands with patients if there is ever an unexpected bump along the way, but also much more often receive hugs with tears of joy from satisfied patients. I am also thankful for my nurse practitioners, who serve as an extension of me for my patients and my aesthetician, Anne, who helps all of our patients and staff (and myself) look and feel their best!

Lastly and in my opinion most importantly, I am so thankful for all of my patients. It is not uncommon for patients to become friends, and over the years, we may choose to do several surgeries addressing different concerns.  This week alone, I had a patient laughingly tell me that she was running out of surgeries to have performed, and would have to come by and schedule appointments just to come in and give us hugs because she would miss us so much.  I feel honored to be chosen to be a part of my patients’ journeys and allowed to help in their transformations.  Here in Oklahoma City, we at Cosmetic Surgery Affiliates are blessed to be able to help those around us, and would love the opportunity to meet you in a consultation (in person or virtually) and be a part of your transformation!
