John Smith, MD, FACS

Dr. John K. Smith is a board-certified General Surgeon with advanced fellowship training in Cosmetic Surgery, specializing in breast and body procedures. His pathway to cosmetic surgery was built on a strong foundation in General Surgery, completing a five-year residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and Houston, Texas. There, he gained broad experience in complex surgery, training at world-renowned institutions including MD Anderson Cancer Center, Memorial Hermann, and Shriners Burn Hospital.

Throughout his career, Dr. Smith has been recognized for his commitment to education and excellence. He was honored as a Distinguished Teacher by his medical students and inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for his leadership and dedication. His diverse surgical background gives him a unique versatility and a thoughtful, patient-centered approach.

Before medical school, Dr. Smith pursued his passion for music, earning a degree in Violin Performance from Indiana University’s renowned Jacobs School of Music. As a member of the Violin Virtuosi, he toured nationally and internationally, an experience that shaped his appreciation for detail and artistry, as well as his commitment to global outreach, cultural diversity, and service.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Smith’s compassion for others is deeply rooted in his love and devotion to his family. Together with his wife, he has participated in a surgical mission trip to the Dominican Republic during residency, and they look forward to many more opportunities to serve communities in need as a family.

When he’s not in the operating room, Dr. Smith enjoys an active and adventurous life with his wife and son. Whether on the golf course, at the baseball field, playing volleyball, or enjoying yard games, the Smith family embraces every opportunity to stay active together. Dr. Smith is also an enthusiastic cook and enjoys exploring new cuisines. A gifted musician, he remains active in his church’s music ministry. Originally from Fishers, Indiana, Dr. Smith is excited to make Oklahoma home and to serve the community with excellence, care, and integrity.
