About Renuvion

Cosmetic surgeons Dr. Erik Nuveen and Dr. Courtney Caplin at Cosmetic Surgery Affiliates in Oklahoma City, OK are proud to offer a revolutionary, minimally invasive skin tightening technique known as Renuvion. Our cosmetic surgery center is one of the first OKC practices to offer this new exciting technology that allows for dramatic improvement in skin laxity without major surgery. Used alone for skin rejuvenation or in combination with certain treatments, such as liposuction, Renuvion creates outstanding results that are long-lasting. Unlike many traditional lasers, Renuvion blends the powerful properties of helium plasma with radiofrequency energy to create an impactful dual-thermal effect. It allows our cosmetic surgeons to provide visible outcomes while using precision, control, and gentle tissue coagulation during treatment. To learn more about Renuvion, schedule your consultation at our Oklahoma City, OK practice today.

Procedure Technique

Renuvion has many uses, depending on what condition is being addressed. Currently, our Oklahoma City cosmetic surgery practice uses Renuvion for skin tightening under the skin. This can be performed in our minor procedures room in the office or directly inside the OR for larger areas. The anesthesia used ranges, but in most cases, twilight sedation is the preferred method. Renuvion will soon be available for dermal ablation/rejuvenation on top of the skin as well. J-Plasma (the powerful technology behind Renuvion) is engineered to tighten the fibroseptal network deep beneath the skin's surface. When used to treat the outermost layer of skin, the plasma energy can also focus precisely on irregular textures, brown spots, fine lines, and mild wrinkles.

What to Expect

Because Renuvion is minimally invasive, most patients feel great within 3 – 5 days of the treatment. A post-surgical garment should be worn for approximately 6 – 8 weeks. We generally tell patients that the more active they are in the weeks following treatment, the easier the recovery will be, including bruising and swelling, which resolves within a few days. Our team will provide precise aftercare instructions to help expedite your healing. Unlike other comparable procedures, which only provide the most basic of results, Renuvion creates dynamic outcomes that continue to improve over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I an ideal candidate?
Renuvion tightens the skin with or without the help of liposuction. The innovative procedure treats moderately saggy skin, skin laxity, and facial wrinkles. To determine whether or not you are an ideal candidate, Dr. Nuveen or Dr. Caplin will meet with you during a consultation where they will perform a physical exam and explain the benefits of Renuvion as compared to other comparable options.

How much does Renuvion cost?
Ranging from $3,500 – $15,000, the cost of your procedure will depend on the size, location, and condition of the treatment area(s). The type of sedation used will be chosen according to the anticipated length of the procedure. Larger cases may need to be performed with twilight sedation in the operating room while smaller areas can be treated with oral sedation. To help afford your treatment, ask about Renuvion package deals.

What areas can be treated with Renuvion?
Renuvion is most commonly used on the abdomen, flanks, upper arms, inner thighs, neck, and face. However, it can be used in many areas of the body and is popular among women who have given birth since it can help tighten skin on the midsection.

Can anyone perform this procedure?
Renuvion is an innovative skin tightening procedure that requires precision and meticulous surgical skill. For this reason, the procedure should be performed by a surgeon, such as Dr. Caplin or Dr. Nuveen. When performed by a professional, Renuvion offers stunning results that turn back the hands of time and firm your body.
